Agricultural Empowerment: Harvesting Hope and Security
Providing farming support, seed distribution, training for women farmers, and sustainable practices to enhance food security and livelihoods.
Liberia’s soil is rich, but for many women farmers, it’s a battle against outdated methods and scarce resources. Our Agricultural Empowerment program changes that by distributing high-yield seeds, offering hands-on training in crop rotation and pest management, and providing tools like irrigation kits to 300+ participants annually.
In Kendeja’s communal farms, we’ve seen yields double, turning subsistence plots into sources of income. Mama Fatou, a widow supporting five children, credits our workshops for her success: “TYF taught me to farm smarter, not harder—now my family eats well, and I save for their schooling.” This program doesn’t just feed bellies; it sows seeds of economic independence, ensuring food security for resilient households.
